Good News For Fans as this gifted Midfielder agrees new deal with Manchester United

The 19-year-old’s previous deal expired at the end of last season but his immediate future at Old Trafford has been secured after he became the latest member of the club’s U23 squad to commit to a new deal, following in the footsteps of Callum Whelan and Zak Dearnley.

The Scot will be looking to break into the United first team just as Scott McTominay did last term.

He was excellent for the academy last season, scoring goals, but what sets him apart is his tenacity. He is a combative, all-round midfield player who can adapt to different situations and that could serve him well here.

He was rewarded for his form last term by being named on the bench for United’s FA Cup victory over Huddersfield Town, though he didn’t come on. He learnt a lot from that experience and is backing himself to break into the United first team.

Expressing his delight at signing improved terms, Hamilton said via Manutd.com, “Manchester United has always been my club so I’m delighted to be staying and extending my journey here,” “I know it’s a cliché but I just need to really knuckle down and train hard.

”You never know who is watching any training session, so my motto is show people what you can do and try to impress the coaches and manager every day.

“United is renowned for giving young players a chance to play in the first team if you are good enough, no matter what your age, and that’s my dream.“ he added.

Hamilton is a player that fits the profile. Hamilton was nominated for the club’s Denzil Haroun player of the year award last season alongside Kieran O’Hara and Demi Mitchell.
