Real Madrid launch late move to sign Chelsea star before August 31 – not Hazard (see full info)

These reports have refused to go away as Real Madrid are interested in signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea before the transfer window closed in Spain on August 31.

Marcos Alonso has been targeted by Real Madrid as a back up for Marcelo with 30 million offered to Chelsea to cushion the transition.

The deal looks dead on arrival as Marcos Alonso is a regular in this Chelsea team currently managed by Sarri. The gaffer has faith in the Spaniard which has seen him featured in the matches played so far this term.

He also chipped in with a crucial goal that subjected Arsenal to their second defeat in as many games.

Secondly, Alonso cannot be sold to Madrid for 30 million Euros. This peanut doesn’t come way near to commensurate the value of the player.

Thirdly, Chelsea will totally decline the offer because even if ridiculous sum is tabled the club will be unable to purchase a replacement given that the transfer window is shut until January.

So Madrid should go ahead to secure the services of another player since the summer window is in full swing in Spain until the 31st of August.

Alonso should be left alone to focus on the Chelsea project with his teammates. The team have ready secured six points from two games after sending Arsenal and Huddersfield to the cleaners.

Up next is a tricky game against Newcastle.
