The acquisition of Jorginho remains Chelsea’s only major signing so far this summer, which is a concern for the club. They were well off the pace in the Premier League last term, and they’ll need far more than a new manager and one new signing to turn things around.

Fortunately, the club could be looking to sign one of Europe’s best young players.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are in the market for Man Utd ace Anthony Martial, who is reportedly open to leaving the club this summer. He didn’t get enough action at Old Trafford last season, and given Chelsea’s average squad depth going forward, he’d certainly get more minutes at Stamford Bridge.

A move wouldn’t be easy, of course, given the likely huge financial demands involved – but Chelsea fans online don’t seem to be too bothered about that.

Indeed, lots of Chelsea fans on Twitter are calling for the club to sign him, no matter the cost.
